Pristine surroundings, fresh mountain air, and lovely weather - Nainital is a glittering jewel in the Himalyan necklace. Dotted with beautiful lakes, the most prominent of them being The Naini, Nainital has rightfully come to be known as 'The Lake District' of India.

Places to visit

The Cave Garden, Malli Tal
The Eco Cave Garden is a popular tourist destination located in Mallital on the Kaladungi Road. A natural park carefully maintained by the local administration, the Eco Cave Garden is a collection of six caves in the forms of tiger, panther, porcupine and so on. Admission Fee - Rs 10, timings - 10 AM - 9 PM

Naina Devi Temple
An old legend has it that Sati, Lord Shiva’s consort, burnt herself alive to avenge an insult made to Shiva. A distraught Shiva resorted to the Tandava to bring existence to an end. Looking at this, Lord Vishnu cut up Sati’s corpse into 51 pieces, which were scattered all over. Sati’s eye fell at the place where Naina Devi Temple is located today.

Corbett National Park
Just a short drive away from Nainital, Corbett is where you come face to face with the wild. The first wildlife reserve of India, extending over an area of more than 500 sq km in the Himalayan foothills, Corbett National Park was established in 1936. It was then known as the Hailey National Park.

Other nearby attractions include Almora (66 kms), Kausani (120 kms), Ranikhet (59 kms) & Bareilly (140 kms).

Air
The nearest airport is located in Pant Nagar approximately 71 kms away. It is well-connected to New Delhi by air.

Rail
The nearest railway station is in Kathgodam approximately 35 kilometres away. You can book a cab from just outside the station which will take no more than 45 minutes to get you to the venue. Negotiate well!

Road
Delhi via Hapur (316 kms)
Delhi via Meerut (336 kms)
Roadways buses as well as express Deluxe buses run to and from Nainital at all times. Frequency of services is highly dependent on weather conditions as well as time of the day (less during night time).

Destinations like Delhi, Agra, Dehradun, Haridwar & Bareilly are well-serviced.
